Handmade, please! for the discerning visitor
‘Handmade, Please!’ was launched in Portugal in June 2006 by Sara Rocha and Gary White after many years of traveling whilst living in southern and northern of Europe and in the United States. In USA she taught Portuguese at the University of California as a Lecturer and at the same time she studied 'Fine Arts' in Santa Barbara (US). She also studied 'Accessories' in The London College of Fashion. Settled in London, after married Gary, Sara decided that the time was right to create - in the era of mass-production and big store chains - a space dedicated to unique pieces, hand-crafted by her and by skilled artisans and craftsman in their own studios and workshops.
Sara (left) traveled for several months, selecting artisans and new designers with whom to work.
In 2008 'Handmade, please!' started to invest in a new line of products made of 100% Eco lambs wool.
At the end of 2010 will be lauched in London, UK.
Gary White, a (LSE MSc) is also the co-founder and Operations Director of "Handmade, Please!". He is responsible for the quality & safety of the products.
